Note 1 at Lu 6:6: The synagogue was a place for teaching and instruction. One thing the synagogue did not have was a professional preacher or teacher. When the people met, the ruler of the synagogue called upon any competent person to give the address and the teaching. This was why Jesus and the apostles could openly teach from city to city, for every community provided them with a pulpit (see note 3 at Mt 5:2 and note 1 at Lu 4:15).

Note 2 at Lu 6:6: Luke was the only one who recorded that this man's right hand was withered. This is a Greek physician's accurateness of detail in reporting a case.
